Founded in 1999, and originally housed in the Dan Marino Center facilities, Children's Center for Development & Behavior has evolved into the leading developmental / behavioral center in Florida with a staff of over fifty associates and a state of the art facility in Broward County. Our clinical staff also supervises, via videoconferencing, the therapies of hundreds of children throughout Europe, Latin America, and the United States.

Tiffany N. Sutherland, M.A., CCC-SLP is The Director of Integrated Services and Speech Language Pathology of Children's Center For Development & Behavior. In addition, Ms. Sutherland is currently developing the Center’s Educational Division to expand services for our school age clients. Ms. Sutherland began working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in the early 90’s while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Education of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped at The State University of New York College at Fredonia. While continuing to pursue her passion for children with ASD as well as an interest in augmentative and alternative communication, Ms. Sutherland received a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Ohio University. Prior to joining the Center for Development and Behavior team, Ms. Sutherland served as a speech language pathologist, augmentative communication specialist, and exceptional student education specialist for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Ms. Sutherland has presented a variety workshops for school system personnel and parents in the areas of integrating service provision for children with ASA, understanding the IEP process, aided language stimulation, augmentative and alternative communication, and visual supports and organizational strategies for classroom success. Currently, Ms. Sutherland participates as a member of the Interdisciplinary Developmental and Behavioral Assessment Team, provides direct speech language assessment and intervention to children with ASD and developmental delays, supervises educational programs (shadowing and academic enrichment), and consults with discrete trial therapists to address oral motor and articulation goals within the therapy session.

David Lubin, Ph.D., BCBA
Dr.  Lubin is Co-Founder and Vice President of Clinical Affairs with the Children’s Center for Development and Behavior.  With over 25 years of experience in the field of behavior analysis, Dr. Lubin obtained his initial clinical and academic experience in 1980 while attending the University of Florida's Behavioral Psychology Program.  Dr. Lubin went on to study at Auburn University where he continued his work in clinical applications of behavior analysis while earning Masters of Science and Doctorate degrees. During this time, he also chose an emphasis in the study of sophisticated techniques for facilitation of learning curves, clinical neuropsychology, neuroanatomy and human engineering technology. Dr. Lubin also held positions with Army Intelligence and NASA where he led teams in the design of user-systems and automated training systems. Dr. Lubin is an Adjunct Professor at Florida International University and teaches courses in both experimental and applied behavior analysis. As the lead clinician for Children’s Center for Development and behavior, Dr. Lubin provides daily clinical staff and program supervision, however, he remains a ‘hands-on’ clinician providing first-contact intakes, assessments, program development and intervention.

Tina Perry, MOT, OTR/L, is a senior therapist at CCDB. Tina has been working in the field since 2002 working with children with various abilities. She now specializes in autism and developmental delays. Tina studied at Nova Southeastern University where she earned her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. Tina has attended workshops focusing on sensory integration, autism, visual perception, and developmental delays in children. Currently, Tina provides consultations, interdisciplinary evaluations, OT evaluations and individualized treatment plans for each unique child that comes to Children’s Center for Development & Behavior.

Paloma Pedraza, M.S., BCBA is a Senior Behavior Analyst for Children’s Center for Development & Behavior. Paloma began working in the field of behavior analysis in 2002 while earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the Florida State University.  She graduated cum laude in the summer of 2004.  She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology, which focused on clinical practices in the field of developmental delays. As a Behavior Analyst, Paloma has worked with the University of Florida in conjunction with the Department of Children and Families.  Her responsibilities included training families to manage their children’s behavior.   Paloma also offered a variety of ongoing training seminars for caregivers, including home-based parent training workshops to provide modeling and feedback of behavior management techniques.  She also prepared Behavior Intervention Plans for children with severe behavior problems in the foster care system. Paloma’s experience in parent training and behavior analysis has led her to design parent workshops for Children’s Center and provide in home parent training as part of our S.T.E.P. program (Specialized Training Empowering Parents).  S.T.E.P. focuses on the generalization of skills acquired in the clinic to a child’s natural environment. Paloma also provides direct interventions for individualized skill acquisition as well as intakes/consultations and functional assessments.

Shana Williams, Psy.D.
Director - Psychological Services
Dr. Williams is the Director of Psychological Services at Children’s Center for Development and Behavior, Children’s Psychology Associates.  She is a licensed clinical psychologist and has been practicing in South Florida since 1993. Her specialties include the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems in children and adolescents.  Dr. Williams has extensive experience in working with families to create a more positive home and school environment.  She has a collaborative style with parents, grandparents, teachers and school personnel, medical professionals and other important people in the Child’s life. This style enhances individual abilities across developmental stages and life experiences. Dr. Williams has presented and lectured on a variety of psychotherapeutic issues including parenting skills, professional ethics and assessment methodology and interpretation, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and coping with difficult children. She is accredited with creating stress management programs for several organizations including U.S. Army installations.  Dr. Williams is a court appointed expert and advocate for Deaf and non-verbal clients. Dr. Williams completed her residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Mental Health Program.  She was an adjunct professor at Carlos Albizu University, Miami, Florida where she received her doctorate. She is also affiliated with the American Psychological Association, Florida Psychological Association, Broward Mental Health Association, Non-Commissioned Officer Association, National Association of the Deaf, and Psi Chi, National Honor Society.

Jenifer McDaniel COTA/L
Jenifer McDaniel provides occupational therapy services. She has devoted her life to helping children with autism and their families since her son was diagnosed in 1999. Jen studied at Keiser University where she earned an Associates of Science degree in occupational therapy. Jen continues to further her knowledge through workshops and seminars on autism, sensory integration and handwriting approaches for children with developmental delays. She provides clinic-based, school-based and community-based occupational therapy for her clients.
