PART C PROVIDERS (Early Intervention Programs)
- Broward County
- Palm Beach District

If your child is younger than 3 years old, he or she is eligible for “early intervention” assistance. This federally-funded program is available in every state, but may be provided by different agencies.

The excellent clinical outcomes of our integrated multidisciplinary approach are recognized by Children’s Diagnostic Treatment Center (CDTC) -Broward County’s Early Intervention Program (Part C).

Children’s Center for Development & Behavior currently provides services as the Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialty Team for the county’s Early Steps program. Our new natural environment educational service is an innovative family-centered program available to Broward County children under the age of three.

EARLY INTERVENTION ADVOCATES

Early Identification and Early Intervention is key in treatment of childhood developmental delays, autism and other spectrum disorders.

Research shows that early intervention is key in the treatment of developmental delays in infants, toddlers and pre-school aged children. Unfortunately, many families do not realize their child is experiencing a developmental delay until after the child enters formal schooling. Waiting to intervene may greatly compromise the effectiveness of available treatment.

EARLY INTERVENTION:Assessments & Therapy Programs

Children’s Center for Development & Behavior provides an Interdisciplinary Developmental/Behavioral Assessments (IDBA) in order to identify your child’s current level of functioning and to identify specific skill deficits. This is a starting point to recommend and develop an integrated therapy program customized to your child’s needs. Our Interdisiplinary Comprehensive Behavior Acquisition Model (ICBAM) is a fully integrated therapy program which incorporates therapies from a variety of disciplines.
